The nacelle of a wind turbine houses many high-tech components, some of which emit heat into the surrounding environment. It is essential that this heat is dissipated to ensure the smooth operation of the turbine.

This task is performed by our fans from the DRAE / DRAD, ANDB and DQ / DR series, for example.

In the generator, kinetic energy (energy of motion) is converted into electrical energy. This conversion results in heat losses. To protect the generator from overheating, this waste heat must be dissipated.

Our DRAE / DRAD series centrifugal fans are ideally suited for this task.

Switch cabinets are essential for perfectly coordinating the components of a wind turbine. Here too, sufficient heat dissipation is required to protect the sensitive electrical components.

Our plug fans with free-running wheels in a wide variety of designs, as well as centrifugal fans from the ERAE / ERAD series, have been specially developed for this area of application.

Tower air cooling in a wind turbine can only be achieved with large volume flows.

For this reason, various axial fans and plug fans with free-running wheels with standard motors from the DKNM / DKNB / DKNR series are used here.

The cooling of other electronic components, such as converters or transformers , is also no problem for our individually designed fans. It does not matter whether the cooling is to take place in the nacelle or the base of a wind turbine.
